This program uses the method of finite differences to find the one-dimensional band diagram of a semiconductor structure. It can automatically calculate the band diagrams for multiple bias voltages, and can also determine C-V characteristics. It was written with III-V compound semiconductors in mind, but should be general enough to work with other material systems as well.

The new developmental version of 1D Poisson has some nice new features, including polarization charge for nitrides, general grading possible for all parameters, sheet charges, unlimited mesh points, easy to use superlattice definition, .txt extension used for all input and output files, and unlimited subbands.
